Telekinesis will be playing Johnny Brenda’s in Philly on Tuesday, May 7th. Tickets for the show are currently still available and can be purchased here. Telekinesis is the Seattle-based band/project of Michael Benjamin Lerner. He just recently released his 3rd album Dormarion on April 2nd (on Merge Records). You can stream Dormarion in its entirety on Spotify. See Telekinesis’ charmingly geeky new music video for “Ghosts and Creatures” from Dormarion below.

Their last tour (in support of the 2011 album 12 Desperate Straight Lines) saw Telekinesis opening for such indie heavyweights as Death Cab for Cutie and The New Pornographers. The current touring version of Telekinesis (now on a headlining tour through May) consists of a veritable crew of Pacific Northwestern all-stars including Erik Walters of The Globes on guitar, Eric Elbogen of Say Hi (To Your Mom) on bass, and Rebecca Cole of Wild Flag on keys. See all of their upcoming tour dates below. Bonus: keep up with Lerner’s frequently updated Flickr photostream here.
